Russian Missile Attack Kills Dozens at Railway Station in Eastern Ukraine

A Russian missile attack on a train station in the eastern Ukrainian city of Kramatorsk killed 50 and killed nearly 100 people trying to flee the eastern Donbas region, Ukrainian forces said Friday, as Moscow focuses its attention on an offensive offensive there.

Thousands of people had gathered at the station waiting for evacuation from the country’s east after Kyiv officials told residents to leave. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said a ballistic Tochka-U missile had struck the station. Photographs posted on social media by Mr. Zelensky showed bodies strewn on the ground and dozens of suitcases, strollers and bags left behind.
