It’s Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Mackenzie Boyd’s (Lawrence Robb) wedding day in tonight’s Emmerdale and — you’ve guessed it — there’s no telling on whether the nuptials will actually go ahead.
A number of obstacles are standing in the couple’s way as the ITV soap airs tonight from 7.30pm. Mack’s fling with Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland) led to a pregnancy, with Mack doing his best to suppress his fatherly instincts in a bid to live happily ever after with the oblivious Charity.
Chloe’s waters broke last night while Mack and Charity found themselves locked up in cells at the police station, accused of robbery after some A-Team-themed passion in a dodgy van.

While it’s touch and go whether the bride and groom will even make it down the aisle, the bigger question is: will Charity discover her husband-to-be’s betrayal just as she’s supposed to be saying I do?
We can reveal that arresting officer PC Swirling (Andy Moore) will take control of the A-Team van to get the pair to the church, where vicar Charles Anderson (Kevin Mathurin) is waiting.
But when Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) arrives with the news that Chloe is in labor, Mack suddenly claims he has something urgent to do and rushes away.

At the hospital, Chloe demands her phone so she can text a mystery person; While Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) tries to hurry a torn Mack along. As he reads a message on his phone, he heads off again on a mission.
Charity waits at the church fearing that Mack has jilted her, and back at the hospital. Chloe is relieved when a mystery visitor arrives just in time. Has Mack turned up to see their son come into the world?

You’ll have to wait to find out, but you can expect the usual amount of suspense — something that soap weddings are famous for. Watch out for a particularly entertaining performance from Moore, who has been making guest appearances as Mike Swirling for nearly 20 years.
But of course, all eyes will be on Charity, who thinks she’s finally found her soulmate, but has no idea of the bombshell coming her way.
Behavior like Mack’s simply can’t be contained forever, and frankly it’s high time that Charity heard the truth. Granddaughter Sarah’s decision to protect Chloe and Mack’s secret was one of Emmerdale’s oddest choices in years, and the big reveal can’t come soon enough.
So, will Charity be in wedded bliss by the end of the night, or might she be planning her revenge instead?
Tune in to Emmerdale on ITV at 7.30pm for an hour-long special to see what happens next.
